Best Koozies for Slim Cans: White Claw, Truly, Red Bull & Michelob Ultra

Quick answer: White Claw, Truly, High Noon, Red Bull and Michelob Ultra (in its slim can) all use a tall, narrow 12oz can that will not fit a standard koozie. You need a Slim can cooler sleeve — a regular koozie will be too baggy and won't insulate properly.

Why a regular koozie won't work for a White Claw

A classic 12oz can (think Coca-Cola or Budweiser) is short and wide. A “slim” or “skinny” 12oz can holds the same 12 ounces but in a taller, narrower shape. Hard seltzers and many energy drinks switched to this slim format, and it's now everywhere.

Because the diameter is smaller, a standard koozie leaves a gap of air around a slim can. That gap kills the insulation (the whole point of a koozie is a snug fit) and the can slides around or tips out. A slim koozie hugs the narrower can for a tight, insulating fit.

What makes a great slim koozie

Not all slim sleeves are equal. Look for:

  • Thicker neoprene. The industry standard is 3mm; our slim sleeves are a full 4mm, so drinks stay colder longer and you get better protection against condensation.
  • A true slim fit. Some “slim” koozies are just narrowed regular koozies. Ours are sized specifically for skinny cans.
